SOLAR WATER STORAGE SYSTEM

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The following temperature charts depict the heat storage and usage of the array.

7 DAY RECORDING OF SOLAR ARRAY

7 Day Recording Graph

NOTES: Most days intermittent sunny and cool.
As the array is emptied this averages out the temperatures achieved with the exception of day 3 when the pump was deliberately switched off.
As the incoming mains cold water temperature was 19C there is a heating effect on each day.
This implies that on non sunny days there will still be a heating effect and on sunny days a much larger difference, the result being either a volume of heated water or constant consumption of warm water.

TWO DAY RECORDING OF ARRAY TEMPERATURE

2 Day Recording Graph

The temperature chart shows the continual sensing of the temperature difference between the tank and array and subsequent cycling of the water.
As it cycles it waits to warm up again before cycling again. When the array is below the tank temp it stays static i.e. through the night.
